Site Facilities

Clean well maintained Toilet Block with free showers, toilets, washbasins, family room and disabled room. There are also hair-drying facilities available. We now have even more electric pitches available, updated for 2019. This is in addition to electric hook-ups for caravans and motorhomes.

On Site Shop

The shop is open 7 days a week, 8:00am - 7:00pm. It is open longer during weekends and school holidays. The on-site shop sells fresh bread and milk daily, general groceries, dairy products, frozen foods, cold drinks, ice-creams, home made cakes and toys & souvenirs.

We also sell bags of frozen ice and have an ice-pack freezing service (where we rent out our own ice-packs ready frozen). We also offer a few useful services for campers, including Calor Gas exchanges, mobile phone and laptop recharging, hot take-away teas, coffees and drinking chocolate, as well as recycling for glass, cans & paper.

Adding extras to your stay

This season we are again renting out fire pits and picnic tables, which can be delivered to your pitch upon arrival for £5.00 per night each.

If you would like to hire a fire pit, we also have starter kits available from £7.50 which includes logs, fire lighters and matches. These can also be brought over to your pitch ready to get started.

Treat yourself to a hamper

We have a wide range of luxury hampers available to you upon arrival. These start at only £15.00. If you would like to add one, then just let us know.

Q. When do you open?

The site opens Monday 1st April 2019 and closes 3rd November 2019 for Caravans, Tents, MotorHomes and Glamping Tents. The Cottages are open all-year.

Q. When can I book?

We open on Monday November 5st 2018 for all bookings online. The office is open from Monday 10th January 2018, from 8am-7pm, every day for phone bookings.

Q. Do you accept dogs?

Yes, dogs are allowed on the campsite and in the Glamping Tents. They are also allowed on the beach 12 months a year. The cottages are our only dog free zone.

Q. Can I request a specific pitch?

Starting this season, we are pre-allocating pitches for all units, except non-electric tents. Caravans, Motorhomes, VWs and tent electric pitches can be pre-booked. If you are in a group, let us know before hand so we can try our best to allocate you together.

It is worth booking as early as possible if you wanted to be with a group as we can only allocate adjacent pitches if they are still available at the time of booking. If you are staying in tents, and want to be together, then we recommend booking with electric even if you don't require it, as we will not be able to reserve adjacent non-electric pitches this season.

Pitches are allocated generally at the time of booking for these pre-allocated plots, with small exceptions made for getting group bookings together. We will try and accommodate specific pitch requests, but this will only be possible if there is space in the calendar. Sea view pitches and countryside caravan/motorhome pitches are allocated in order they are received as well.

Q. What are the arrival and departure times?

Your pitch is available from 12noon on your day of arrival, and must be vacated by 11am on your departure date.

Q. What deposit is required?

The deposit required equates to the minimum stay duration, or the full amount if booking within 14 days. The minimum stay is 4 nights during school holidays, 3 days during other bank holidays, and 2 nights over busy times and weekends. The deposit is paid in full at the time of booking and not refundable.

Q. Am I entitled to a refund when cancelling?

No, all payments are final and non-refundable. We can change your booking dates up to 14 days before arrival.

Q. Are campfires allowed on site?

No open fires are allowed. BBQs are fine as long as they do not affect the grass, and if they are charcoal based (no wood BBQs allowed). We also allow small fire pits, but these must not effect the grass and be under control. Fire pits can now be rented either at the time of booking, or upon arrival. We recommend booking fire pits as they are very popular and we only have a certain number. Wood is also available from the shop.

Q. Do all pitches have a sea view?

No, only some pitches have a sea view. To get a sea view pitch we recommend arriving as early as possible (from 12noon) on your day of arrival. This will give you the best chance of getting a sea view pitch. Caravans, VW Campervans and MotorHomes can book sea view pitches (subject to availability).

Q. Do you take groups?

No, we only accept families and couples. Single guests are also welcome. We have a strict 10pm latest "quiet rule", and all campers are required to keep to this, including keeping talking and noise to an absolute minimum. All music must be turned off after this time. We ask you to respect your fellow campers on site. During the start and end of the season, we might make this time limit earlier to observe the darker evenings in Spring and Autumn. If you are playing music excessively loud during the day, and it is affecting other campers, then we also reserve the right to ask you to turn it off at any point in the day.

Q. When are my extras delivered?

If you have pre-ordered a hamper, fire pit, picnic table or other extra, then these will be made available on your arrival date as long as you arrive during reception hours. Late arrivals may not be able to access extras until the following morning. Please check with us regarding your hampers if you are expecting to arrive late.

Q. How large are the pitches?

Our caravan/motorhome pitches are 5m wide. Your van and awning must fit on to this space to allow a resonable space between each unit. We require units to be positioned 'side-on', with awnings to the side of your van.

Our camping pitches for tents and small VW Campervans are mostly 9m - 10m wide.

Q. What do i need for a tent electric?

Our electric tent pitches require a special camping hookup cable - these are standard connections that most site use. These can be purchased at the time of booking and made available upon arrival to the site. Please contact us if you require further details.

Q. How does the WiFi work?

The wifi is a free service, and is provided as is. We cannot guarantee the availability or speed of the service, and not all pitches are covered. We make our best effort to cover as much of the site as possible, but cannot guarantee availability on any specific pitches. The best coverage is around the shop and cafe reception area. At busy times the speed can slow down, and the connection or availability is not guaranteed at any time.
